Chateau d'Armailhac, Pauillac 2023 (1x75cl)

Chateau d'Armailhac 2023 is a Pauillac red from an estate classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855 (Baron Philippe de Rothschild family). The official estate vintage page gives a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Harvest ran from 7 to 30 September 2023. The estate notes a mild wet winter replenishing soils after 2022, strong June heat, and unstable weather during picking that slowed sugar accumulation while refining skins.

The estate describes a dark intense red with purple highlights; aromas of red fruit with light floral notes and delicate confectionery nuances alongside black cherry; a smooth, precise palate with fine elegant tannins, freshness and balance; and a persistent finish of spice, pepper and ripe fruit.
