Chateau Clerc Milon, Pauillac 2023 (1x75cl)

Chateau Clerc Milon 2023 is a Pauillac red from an estate classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, in the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) group. The official estate vintage page gives a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 6.5% Cabernet Franc, 1.5% Carmenère and 1% Petit Verdot. Harvest ran from 7 to 29 September under a season that began with a mild wet winter, perfect late-May flowering, and a record-hot June, with picking finished in warm late-September sunshine.

Tasting notes

The estate describes deep red with a garnet hue; refined bilberry and blackcurrant aromas with cedarwood and pepper; creamy smoothness and precision over well-structured tannins; a dense, full-bodied Cabernet texture lifted by fruit; and a fresh finish with cocoa-bean and liquorice.
