Chateau Calon Segur, St. Estephe 2023 (1x75cl)

Chateau Calon Segur 2023 is a Saint-Estèphe red from an estate classified as a Third Growth in 1855. The 2023 technical sheet distributed for the estate (calon-segur.fr) gives a Grand Vin blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, aged about 20 months in 100% new barrels. Merlot was picked 6–20 September; Cabernets and Petit Verdot 18–30 September. The vineyard sits on Quaternary gravel over Tertiary clay at Domaine de Calon, with consultant Éric Boissenot and winemaker Vincent Millet.
