Single-vineyard Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, one of Australia's warmest and best-known red wine regions. This is the bottle for a night with short ribs, a slow-cooked stew, or anything off the barbecue.

Big reds like this usually reward a bit of air, so open it early. Serve around 16-18C rather than room temperature in a Hong Kong summer.

Tasting notes

Barossa Shiraz usually shows ripe blackberry, dark plum, chocolate and sweet spice, typically with a full body and generous, rounded tannins.
