The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1x70cl)

A 15-year-old single malt from GlenAllachie in Speyside. Fifteen years is a comfortable place for Speyside whisky: enough time in wood to build depth, not so much that the spirit disappears under it.

An age statement on the label still does a lot of work as a gift, whether it is Mid-Autumn or a thank-you to a client, because the number explains itself without you having to. Drink it neat or with a little water; ice will flatten some of the aroma.

Tasting notes

Speyside single malt typically shows orchard fruit, honey and malt with a gentle sweetness and little or no smoke, and at fifteen years the wood usually adds a layer of spice and nuttiness. Usually smooth rather than aggressive.
