Roussillon in southern France is known for old-vine Grenache grown in hot, dry conditions, and wines from here usually turn ripe and jammy young, then settle into dried fruit and herbal notes with age. At over a decade old, this 2014 should be showing that more mature side.
A good choice for someone who already drinks a lot of red and wants something with more development than a typical young bottle.

Typically shows dried cherry and fig, with garrigue herbs, a touch of spice, and softer tannins from the extra bottle age.
