Le Serre Nuove is the second wine of Ornellaia, made in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast from a Bordeaux-style blend. Easier to open on a weeknight than the grand bottle, and still tastes like it came from the same address.

Good for a steak dinner at home, a dinner party where you don't want to explain the label, or a client gift that looks considered without going over the top.

Tasting notes

Bolgheri blends like this typically show dark cherry, plum and a herbal, slightly savoury edge, with soft but present tannins. Usually happier after 30 minutes open.
