Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt (1x70cl)

The headline here is the peat. Irish whiskey is rarely peated, so a peated Irish single malt is genuinely unusual, and that is the whole point of this bottling. Blackpitts is the name of the release and also the Dublin neighbourhood where Teeling distils.

Peat means smoke, so if Islay is already your corner of the shelf, you will recognise the language straight away — it just happens to be spoken with an Irish accent here. A good bottle to put in front of a friend who thinks they have tried everything, and an easy conversation starter at a dinner.
