Share Bottle of MahJong Project (二萬) Octave: Glengarioch 2011 (1x5cl)

A 5cl share bottle from the MahJong Project independent bottling series (二萬), drawn from a Glen Garioch 2011 distilled in the Highlands and matured in an octave, which is a small cask. Small casks mean more wood contact per drop, so these bottlings tend to be quite expressive.

The point of a 5cl is to try before you commit to a full bottle, or to line up a few samples with friends on a tasting night. Easy to slip into a gift bag alongside something else too.

Tasting notes

Highland single malt from a small cask typically shows orchard fruit and malt with a fuller layer of vanilla, spice and oak. Adding a few drops of water usually opens it up.
