Penfolds Bin 407-Cork Closure 2016 (1x75cl)

Bin 407 is Penfolds' Cabernet Sauvignon, blended across South Australian regions, and this 2016 bottling comes with a cork closure as the name says. Penfolds is one of the names most Hong Kong drinkers already recognise, which makes it straightforward to give as a gift.

Suits barbecue, steak, lamb or a big table at a restaurant with corkage. With a decade in bottle it still has structure, so an hour of air usually helps.

Tasting notes

Australian Cabernet typically shows blackcurrant, dark chocolate, mint or eucalyptus and sweet oak, with ripe but firm tannins. Usually fuller-bodied than Bordeaux Cabernet.
