Marques de Murrieta Ygay Coleccion 2100 2003 (1x75cl)

Ygay is the estate name and Coleccion 2100 is the bottling name on the label. What matters when you open it is the 2003 vintage: more than twenty years in bottle, so treat it as an older wine. Bottles with this much age vary from one to the next, and we cannot promise how any single one will show.

Stand it upright for a day before opening, pull the cork gently, and decant off any sediment. Nice one for a slow dinner with someone who enjoys older reds.

Tasting notes

Rioja reds are usually Tempranillo-led, and with age they typically move away from fresh fruit toward dried fruit, leather and sweet spice, with softer tannin.
