Marchesi Antinori Tignanello Toscana IGT 2022 (1x75cl)

Tignanello is one of the original Super Tuscans — a Sangiovese-led blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, released under the IGT Toscana designation because the blend falls outside the local DOCG rules rather than because of any quality shortfall.

2022 is a recent vintage, so this is one for drinking over the next several years rather than immediately reaching peak.

Tasting notes

Tignanello-style Super Tuscans usually combine Sangiovese's cherry and dried-herb character with the darker fruit and structure Cabernet brings. Expect firm tannins in a young vintage like this.
