Maison Louis Jadot is one of the Burgundy names most Hong Kong drinkers already recognise, which makes it a low-risk way into a village like Pommard. Pommard reds usually carry more structure and darker fruit than the lighter Côte de Beaune villages, so they hold up next to real food.

Tasting notes

Pommard Pinot Noir typically shows dark cherry, plum and raspberry with an earthy, slightly dusty edge, and firmer tannins than most of its neighbours. A 2020 usually opens up after thirty to forty minutes. Serve a touch cool, around 15-16°C, rather than at room temperature.
