Louis Roederer Collection 244 Brut (1x75cl)

Collection is Louis Roederer's non-vintage, and each release is numbered by the count of harvests since the house was founded. 244 is the release before 245, built around the 2019 harvest.

Why the numbering exists. Roederer stopped pretending its non-vintage tastes the same every year. Each Collection is a different wine, blended around a base vintage and a perpetual reserve — a solera-style library started in 2012 that gives the wine depth an ordinary blend cannot reach.

Should you buy 244 or 245? Practically, whichever is in front of you. 244 has had longer in bottle, which some people prefer; the house style, the low dosage and the precision are the same.

When to drink it. Serve at 8–10°C. Aperitif or at the table — it has the structure for both.
