LOS VASCOS Los Vascos Chardonnay 2022 (1x75cl)

Los Vascos Chardonnay 2022 is a Colchagua Valley white from Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite’s Chilean estate. The official Lafite technical sheet gives 100% Chardonnay at 14% alcohol (pH 3.07; total acidity 3.80 g/L). Grapes from the cooler parts of the estate were harvested before daylight, pressed, and fermented at low temperature in stainless-steel tanks; the wine was partly aged on its lees. The season mixed moderate rainfall, a very cold spring, and a stable warm summer without extremes.

Tasting notes

The sheet describes crystalline bright yellow with golden notes; aromas of banana, papaya and pineapple with white flowers and grapefruit; a fatty, long palate with volume and tension; and a surprising balance between freshness and complexity.
