Le Petit Cheval is the second wine of Cheval Blanc in Saint-Émilion, so you're getting right bank Bordeaux from a well-known address without the first-label price. Right bank usually means a softer, rounder feel than the Cabernet-heavy left bank.

Ten years in bottle has taken the edge off. Decant it for an hour and put it on the table for a proper dinner, or give it to someone who'll recognise what it is.
