Le Domaine d'Henri Chablis 2012 (1x75cl)

A Chablis from 2012, so it has more than ten years in bottle. That's worth pointing out — most Chablis gets drunk young, so seeing one with this much age on a shelf isn't an everyday thing. Bottles of this age do vary with storage, so treat it as a bottle to open with attention rather than a safe crowd-pleaser.

Aged Chardonnay from a cool region usually trades sharp citrus for something rounder and nuttier. Nice with roast chicken, scallops, or a good piece of steamed fish.

Tasting notes

Chablis with this much age typically moves from lemon and flint towards baked apple, honey, hazelnut and a savoury, mineral finish. Serve around 12-13C, not fridge-cold.
