La Ferme du Mont Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc "Vendange" 2022 (1x75cl)

Chateauneuf-du-Pape is famous for its reds, so let's be clear that this is the white. White CdP is only a small share of what the appellation produces, which is why plenty of regular Rhone drinkers have never poured one.

It is usually built on Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Bourboulenc, and it is generally fuller and rounder than a light seafood white. Vendange is the cuvee name on the label. A good bottle to put on the table when the main course is white meat and a thin white would get lost.

Tasting notes

White Chateauneuf-du-Pape typically shows orchard fruit, a little citrus peel and a broad, weighty texture rather than sharp acidity. Usually good with roast chicken, pork, or richer fish dishes.
