VSOP is a grade, not a marketing word: it means the youngest brandy in the blend has spent at least four years in oak. Hennessy VSOP is one of the bottles most people in Hong Kong recognise on sight, which is exactly why it works as a gift.

Tasting notes

VSOP Cognac typically shows vanilla, dried fruit, oak spice and a touch of candied orange, with a warm finish. Neat in a tulip glass, or long with soda and ice if the night calls for it.
