Frescobaldi Nipozzano-Riserva 2022 (1x75cl)

Nipozzano Riserva is a Sangiovese-based red from Chianti Rùfina in Tuscany, here from the 2022 vintage. Rùfina sits at higher altitude than most of Chianti, and the reds from there usually keep a firm, fresh edge.

Fits a steak night, a slow-cooked beef dish, or a dinner with a few people where you want something recognisable but not boring. Give it 30 minutes open if you have time.

Tasting notes

Sangiovese from Rùfina typically shows dark cherry, dried herbs and a hint of leather or tobacco from the Riserva ageing, with fresh acidity and firm tannins.
