Escarpment Chardonnay Martinborough 2023 (Screw Cap) (1x75cl)

Escarpment is based in Martinborough in New Zealand's Wairarapa, an area better known for reds but which also turns out tidy, food-friendly Chardonnay. This 2023 comes under screw cap, which is quietly useful for picnics, hotel rooms and anywhere a corkscrew has gone missing.

It suits roast chicken, creamy pasta, grilled fish or a long lunch that turns into afternoon. Chill it, open it, done.

Tasting notes

Cool-climate New Zealand Chardonnay typically shows citrus and stone fruit with bright acidity and a restrained, sometimes nutty oak character. Serve around 10-12°C.
