This is a 2019 red from Domaine Fernand & Laurent Pillot under the Coteaux Bourguignons appellation. Coteaux Bourguignons is Burgundy's broadest red appellation, and it can be Gamay, Pinot Noir or a blend of the two - so we will not pretend to tell you which.

Honestly, this is the everyday end of Burgundy, and that is the point of it: a red for a Tuesday, not a bottle you save for a year. Open it with roast chicken, cold cuts or takeaway and it does its job. Free Hong Kong delivery over HK$800, flat HK$80 below that.

Tasting notes

Reds at this level usually come out bright and fruit-driven - red cherry and berry - typically light to medium bodied with modest tannins and fresh acidity. A short chill usually suits it, especially in Hong Kong summer.
