Prosecco comes from Veneto in northern Italy and is made from the Glera grape. It is lighter and more fruit-forward than Champagne, and generally the bottle you buy several of rather than one — birthdays, office parties, brunch, or mixing into an Aperol spritz.

Tasting notes

Prosecco DOC typically shows green apple, pear and white flowers with a soft, frothy bubble rather than a sharp one. Usually finishes crisp, anywhere from dry to just off-dry. Serve very cold, around 6-8°C, on its own or with light snacks and seafood.
