Chevalier de Lascombes 2016 (1x75cl)

This is the second wine of Chateau Lascombes, made in Margaux on Bordeaux's left bank. Second wines are usually the easier-drinking side of an estate — you get the house style without waiting a decade for it to open up. Handy when you want something proper on the table tonight, not in 2035.

Tasting notes

Margaux reds typically show dark berry and plum fruit, a bit of cedar and pencil-lead from barrel age, and tannins that lean fine rather than chunky. Give it 30 minutes in the glass and serve slightly cooler than room temperature.
