Chateau Malescot Saint Exupery, Margaux 2017 (1x75cl)

Malescot St. Exupery is one of the Margaux estates that tends to make wine with a bit of lift rather than pure weight, which is why it shows up on a lot of Hong Kong dinner tables. 2017 is still fairly young.

Decant it for an hour or so and pair it with lamb, beef or anything off the grill. The name reads well as a gift too, whether it's Mid-Autumn or a thank-you bottle for a client.

Tasting notes

Margaux blends are typically built on Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, usually showing cassis and black cherry with floral and cedar hints. Tannins in this commune are generally fine-grained, and at under ten years old the fruit is usually still leading.
