Tasting notes

Merlot-led Saint-Émilion with this much bottle age typically moves from fresh fruit towards dried plum, fig and leather, with earthy, mushroomy notes and tannins that have softened out. Stand the bottle up a day ahead, decant gently off any sediment, and drink within the evening.
