Chateau La Fleur-Petrus 2014 is a Pomerol red from Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix. The estate sits on the Pomerol plateau between the localities Petrus and La Fleur, and was Jean-Pierre Moueix's first Pomerol purchase in 1950. The current Moueix sheet lists about 18.7 hectares of gravel and deep clay on iron-rich subsoil, planted with 91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, hand-harvested with manual and optical sorting, fermented in thermo-regulated concrete and stainless-steel vats, and aged 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new.
Tasting notes
The owner describes a wine that combines elegance with the generosity and structure of great Pomerol, with refinement, complexity and a touch of violet.
This is an older vintage. It was sourced from a reliable, proven source, checked for authenticity by our in-house sommelier, and stored in our constant-temperature cellar after arrival.
