Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste 2013 (1x75cl)

Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a Fifth Growth from Pauillac, generally well regarded in the trade despite sitting outside the top-tier classification. 2013 was a cooler, more challenging Bordeaux vintage, so this is a bottle for drinking now rather than one to cellar further.

A way into classified-growth Pauillac without the price of a First or Second Growth.

Tasting notes

Pauillac reds are usually Cabernet Sauvignon-led, with cassis and graphite as classic markers. A cooler vintage like 2013 tends to show lighter body and less ripe fruit than a warmer year.
