Chateau Gazin 2011 (1x75cl)

Gazin sits in Pomerol, near some of the appellation's most famous neighbours, and leans on Merlot with a supporting role for Cabernet Franc. Pomerol wines don't follow the 1855 classification, but the area is known for producing some of Bordeaux's plusher, more velvety reds.

A solid choice for a dinner party centrepiece or a thank-you gift for someone who already knows their Bordeaux.

Tasting notes

Merlot-based Pomerol usually shows soft, plum and dark cherry fruit with a rounder, more velvety texture than Left Bank reds, and gentler tannins overall.
