Chateau De Camensac 2011 (1x75cl)

A 2011 Haut-Medoc from the left bank of Bordeaux. Reds from here are usually a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, mid-weight rather than heavy, and by now this vintage has had over a decade to settle down. It is the kind of Bordeaux you can open on a Wednesday without feeling like you are wasting it.

Good for a family dinner, a hotpot night with something other than beer, or a low-key gift when you want a proper Bordeaux name without going overboard. Serve it around 16-18°C and give it half an hour in the decanter if you have time. Free delivery in Hong Kong over HK$800, flat HK$80 below that, standard delivery 2-5 business days.

Tasting notes

Haut-Medoc reds typically show blackcurrant and plum with a graphite or cedar edge, medium tannins and a dry finish. With this much bottle age the fruit usually reads a little softer and more savoury.
