The design for this particular vintage 2013 is inspired from the Qian hexagram of the Chinese philosophical text I–Ching .It symbolizes the primal force in the universe and signifies the initiation of a creative new endeavor towards harmony and balance in achieving self-sustainability.

Champagne Yves Ruffin was one of the four pioneer vineyards back in 1971 to engage in organic viticulture. We hold tremendous respect and admiration for their visionary approach at such an early stage.The vineyard emanates a powerful force of nature and universal positive energy, absolutely symbolizes the unique representation of “Qian” or “The Creative”.

The 2013 Champagne Yves Ruffin Cuvee “Qian” Brut Nature is biodynamic Champagne made entirely on Acacia barrels and without dosage. Lovely personal style with nice exotic spiciness. We all found saffron, resin, curry and cinnamon around the table. The fruit itself is tightly sour and apple-driven, but the personal bouquet that the wine shows is the greatest treasure.
