Arômes de Pavie is the second wine of Château Pavie, a Premier Grand Cru Classé A of Saint-Émilion — the top rank of the appellation's classification.

Right Bank, not Left. Saint-Émilion is Merlot country, with Cabernet Franc alongside it. That makes it rounder and softer young than a Left Bank Cabernet blend from Médoc.

When to drink it. Approachable now. Decant thirty to sixty minutes. Roast pork, duck, mushroom dishes.

Is it worth it? The main label sits several times higher. This is the accessible way to drink from one of the four estates at the top of the Saint-Émilion classification.
