Ardbeg 10 years old (1x70cl)

Ardbeg 10 is an Islay single malt, and Islay is the island whose malts are known for peat smoke. This is not a gentle introduction to whisky — it's the one you pour for someone who has already decided smoky is their thing.

Tasting notes

Islay malts typically show peat smoke, sea salt and iodine alongside citrus and a touch of sweetness underneath. Usually worth a few drops of water to soften the smoke and let the rest come through.
