Solaia is Marchesi Antinori's Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend from Tuscany, usually rounded out with a smaller portion of Sangiovese. At close to four decades old, this 1988 bottle is a mature, collector-grade wine rather than an everyday drinker, so it's one for a serious cellar or a special celebration.

Given its age, check the bottle carefully and stand it upright before serving, and consider decanting to let any sediment settle.
