Chateau de la Maltroye, Chassagne Montrachet Blanc 2021 (1x75cl)

Notes of rosemary oil, pear, herbal tea and a hint of petrol are trimmed in admirably discreet wood. Here too there is excellent energy to the well-detailed and even more appealingly textured medium weight flavors that also terminate in a bone-dry and more obviously austere finale. This possesses excellent development potential and is a wine that will definitely repay at least a few years of keeping. Outstanding. Tasted by Allen Meadow in June 2023
